Main research activities of the research group
The laboratory explores the psychopathological functioning of adolescent disorders with particular reference to eating disorders and personality development. The investigation includes the deepening of the connections with attachment, parenting and other functions related to family interactions and their distortions. Among the objectives are the deepening of the psychopathological bases and dynamics on which the disorders are rooted and the evaluation of the effectiveness of the treatments. Among the tools adopted for research, in addition to diagnostic tests in the psychological area, it also includes the use of neuroimaging tools and the use of other innovative exploratory technologies (AI, telemedicine and augmented reality simulations) applied to clinical research is proposed.
