Activity

The activity consists in the identification and biochemical, anatomical and physiological mapping of placebo responses in different pathological conditions and in physical and cognitive performance. Currently, the following conditions are studied:

  • hypoxia and hypothermia at the laboratories of High Altitude Medicine and Physiology (Breuil-Cervinia and Zermatt)

  • physical performance and pain at the laboratories of Corso Raffaello 30 in Turin

  • pain and movement disorders at the laboratories of Via Cherasco 15 in Turin

  • aphasia at Fondazione Molo in Via della Rocca 24bis in Turin

Group’s ECR Sectors:

LS4_1 - Organ physiology and pathophysiology

LS5_1 - Neuroanatomy and neurophysiology

LS5_11 - Neurological disorders (e.g. Alzheimer's disease, Huntington's disease, Parkinson's disease)

LS5_3 - Neurochemistry and neuropharmacology

LS5_5 - Mechanisms of pain
